Deer Run "Say Hello" Week
Deer Run "Say Hello" Week
Say Hello is a program to promote children being inclusive in school. This was created by the Sandy Hook Community. I taught their lessons to classrooms at Deer Run Elementary. We did things like Concentric Circle activity to get kids talking and getting to know each other. We also did little positive messages written on Post-It notes to put up around the school as well as conversation cubes at lunch with the children mixing up where they sit. Deer Run continues mixing up the lunch table every Friday now.
